Home-school co-education helps the policy of ‘easing the burden of excessive homework and off-campus tutoring for students undergoing compulsory education’ and the winter vacation work is heart-warming. During the winter vacation, in order to further strengthen home-school cooperation, enhance home-school ties, and better understand and guide students' winter vacation life, the Primary Section proceeded a series of home-school contact work.
On one hand, the online parents' meetings emphasized the safety and precautions during the holiday, instructed parents to make reasonable arrangements for students' holiday life under the guidance of the policy of ‘reducing students’ homework burden and reducing the burden of off-campus training for students’, encouraged students to actively participate in practical activities, and understood and inherited Chinese history and culture during the traditional festival.
On the other hand, the offline home visit activities went into students' families, learnt about students' families and learning environment on the spot, and spread teachers' care for students into children's hearts.
Furthermore, the periodical study inspection, holiday life guidance and various forms of examination and reminder not only effectively helped students conscientiously and efficiently complete the holiday study tasks, but also helped them carry out physical exercise and extracurricular reading activities in time.
In addition, the online ‘class meetings to bring students’ mind back from the holiday’ and ‘cloud reunion’ with parents and students again before the start of the new school year reminded parents of the registration time, preparation of students’ learning materials and relevant matters needing attention. Moreover, in order to help students quickly adapt to the new semester’s study life, each class put forward a variety of helpful suggestions according to the actual situation of students.
